WATCH: Let’s play TOCA Race Driver 3, Episode 15

Back in Let’s Play TOCA Race Driver Episode 3, I had the chance to drive the US Speedtruck Chevrolet Silverado. The game gave a fun little cutscene with Rick almost getting blasted by a rogue tyre, Final Destination style, but I opted for the British GT Cup car series and won that instead.

Now, I’m taking that opportunity to make only left turns around three obscure US-based ovals in what is definitely a truck based on the NASCAR Truck Series, just without the NASCAR licensing.

Mandatory pit stops are a new added wrinkle, but nowhere in the rules did it state I needed to slow down to pit speed or take full service. This is NASCAR-style racing after all, and they say if you’re not cheating, you’re not trying.

I’ll also take the Opel Vectra GTS V8 in the DTM class challenge around Norisring, Brno and Zandvoort. It’s DTM, what more can I say? This game has a heavy DTM influence and these cars are just fun to drive.
