One of Gran Turismo’s fan favourite tracks has received a makeover – and it looks fantastic!

Yes, Grand Valley Speedway (now simply called ‘Grand Valley’ in-game) has been added to Gran Turismo 7 as part of its v1.29 update and it’s received the sort of upgrade previously enjoyed by Deep Forest Raceway. Sure, the layout will be familiar to anyone who played the first GT game a quarter of a century ago, but the trackside views are different. Very different.

To demonstrate the visual leap enjoyed by Grand Valley we’ve put together a comparison video, showing the track as it appeared in Gran Turismo 6; the last time the circuit appeared in a GT series game.

There are some subtle layout differences – as was the case in Deep Forest’s reboot – but the imposing cliff faces and nautical views really come to life thanks to the extra processing power of the PlayStation 5.

However, it still feels very much like Grand Valley. Which is definitely a good thing.

Have you had a chance to sample Grand Valley and its four configurations yet? Did it induce a warm, fuzzy hit of nostalgia? Let us know in the comments below, also watch our hands-on with GT Sophy.
