Auto Modellista is a 2002 racing game from Capcom featuring beautiful graphics and a stunning car list. Where did it all go wrong?
WATCH: Auto Modellista, the racing game that missed its chance

Auto Modellista is a title that will elicit very different memories from racing game fans. Sure, its tremendous roster of cars – including JDM classics like the Toyota Supra and Nissan Skyline – was a highlight, but the game proved to be a disappointment.

It was developed by Capcom, a company famed for producing monster hits like Resident Evil, Street Fighter and Mega Man, and had an art style that to this day remains pleasing to the eye.

In our video retrospective, we cast our eye over Auto Modellista and explain how that despite having all the ingredients to be a success, it was nowhere near the Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec competitor Capcom expected.

What do you think about Auto Modellista? Have we been too harsh on a game with a lot of positive features? Let us know in the comments below.
