EA and Codemasters have confidently predicted the outcome of the pulsating F1 2021 title battle. Using their F1 2021 game, the team simulated the final race weekend of the season at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abui Dhabi, and the results were conclusive; Max Verstappen will win the 2021 Formula 1 World Championship!
According to the F1 2021 game, Verstappen took pole position and never looked back, leading the race from start to finish from Lewis Hamilton, with Verstappen’s Red Bull team mate Sergio Perez in third. Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc also finished inside the top 10, securing third in the manufacturers’ championship for Ferrari after their close battle with the McLarens of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo.
In his final race in F1, and clearly showing he should be left alone because he knows what he’s doing, Kimi Raikonen took home 10th for Alfa Romeo, finishing ahead of team mate Anotonio Giovinazzi in the final championship table.
Although a fun exercise from EA Codemasters, it highlights the interest and anticipation towards the conclusion of a sometimes-heated championship battle between Hamilton and Verstappen. However, the predicted result is at odds with F1 2021’s newly-updated driver rankings, as Hamilton and Verstappen were rated at 94 and 93 respectively.
To celebrate F1 2021’s nomination in the Best Sports/Racing category in The Game Awards, EA Codemasters have announced F1 2021 will be on sale at a ‘special price’ from Monday 13th December. If you don’t have a copy yet we’d certainly recommend it.
