The revived Tokyo Xtreme Racer is about to hit PlayStation 5 after early access on PC, and one of the new features is the ability to watch back races in replays.
Within a new trailer explaining how this works is what we think is a new vehicle for the Shuto Expressway-racer.

Seen racing on the streets, its name is confirmed in a replay selection menu – the Toyota Townace Van GL (KR52V) ‘05 (main article image).
No, this is not a sportscar, but this is part of the TXR appeal. Obscure Japanese models that can be tuned to within an inch of their lives.
It joins the Honda Fit, Mazda CX-3 and Toyota Dyna truck as recently teased models coming with the PS5 launch, and presumed matching PC patch.
As for the replays, several post-race videos are temporarily saved, and then the player must select to save one permanently. This will be within the garage and the reference section.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer releases on PS5 on 25th February 2026 at 3 pm GMT, or 00:00 on the 26th in Japan. The digital version will cost £39.99 / $49.99 on the PlayStation Store, with an Asia-exclusive physical release.
