Thrustmaster T248 now available to pre-order for Xbox

Having gone on sale in October 2021 for PlayStation and PC users, the Xbox version of the Thrustmaster T248 sim racing steering wheel and pedal set is now available to pre-order.

The T248 is a unique entry-level setup, it utilises a ‘Hybrid Drive’ force feedback system that combines gear and belt-driven technologies. There is a built-in digital display on the wheel rim, the force feedback strength can be changed on the fly and the set includes adjustable T3PM pedals with two spring strengths.

It’s identical to the PlayStation edition, except for the Xbox-style buttons. It too works on PC, alongside Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The T248 will work with the popular racing game Forza Horizon 5, and the title will be a partner of this new wheel’s launch.

In our review, we said: “If you like how it looks, want to work those arms playing DiRT Rally 2.0, and have a need to bling up your desk a little, the T248 is the way to go.”

As will all Thrustmaster wheels, it’s compatible with the ‘BOOST’ function when used in combination with a PC. Users simply need to have the most up-to-date driver installed via the Thrustmaster Firmware Panel Updater and the level of force feedback ‘boost’ can be adjusted on the control panel page.

Pre-orders are live as of today, 13th January 2022, and the devices will be commercially available on 15th March 2022. Just like the PlayStation version, it’s priced at €349.99/$399.99.
