Fanatec is back with another limited-run formula-style sim racing steering wheel – this time with help from the Oracle Red Bull Racing team.
The Formula 1 team, which just wrapped up this season’s drivers’ crown with Max Verstappen, has worked with the German (Corsair-owned) peripheral manufacturer on the special edition.
While not a replica of a real-world input, it is a similar shape to a device used in open-wheeled motorsport.
It looks to be identical in profile to the existing ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula V2.5 or V2.5X.
However, the carbon faceplate has a different, blueish, tint compared to the series-production models. The grips are also tinged with the same hue.
It also features the racing team’s logo, and the 11 push-buttons are coloured in blue, red and yellow to match.
The three toggle switches also include red and yellow accents, completing the look.
Much like its contemporaries, there are LEDs to display revs, a separate bank of lights for in-race warnings such as flags, two thumb encoders and 12-way multi-position switches.
It will be the first ClubSport wheel Fanatec offers with its updated quick release system (QR2) pre-installed.
Unlike the V2.5 and V2.5X, it also comes with the Podium Advanced Paddle Module around the rear, which includes clutch paddles – these are usually a $/€179.95 upgrade alone.
The Red Bull wheel will be on sale from 30th November 2024 and is limited to 2024 units worldwide. Each box and serial number will be uniquely numbered.
It is priced at $/€649.95 and each customer is limited to a single unit.
