The superlative Rush Rally Origins is heading to PlayStation

Brownmonster Games’ top-down rally game is finally headed to Sony’s machines.
Rush Rally Origins on Xbox One

When Rush Rally Origins – a remake of a mobile game by solo developer Stephen Brown – hit current smartphones and the Nintendo Switch in 2021, we were astounded by its pliant handling and attention to detail.

Then, it hit PC (Steam) in April 2022 and Xbox in July and a limited edition physical version for Switch also arrived.

But, the market-leading (PS4 and PS5 combined) console platform, PlayStation, was notable only by its absence.

That’s set to change soon, as a blog post today (2nd August 2023) has confirmed that one of our all-time favourite top-down driving games is about to hit Sony’s machines.

Rush Rally Origins wishlist on the PlayStation Store

There’s no release date yet, however, the title is available to wishlist now from a public PlayStation Store landing page.

“We are literally about to put the game into certification so I can’t imagine it will be long before it appears on the store. I’ll keep you posted though,” said Brown.

Let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later that more people get to experience the delights of this diminutive rally hero.
