Donk vs Lowrider is the next new playlist, available today (3rd July), for The Crew Motorfest, and it is all about heavily modified American boxes.
A playlist is a selection of events and side-quests that make up the core single-player Motorfest experience, and so far, at least one fresh compilation arrives with each new season of the game.
This time, a donk (a heavily customised 1971-76 Chevrolet Caprice or Impala) and lowriders are the main themes, with specific challenges and cut scenes to fit the vibe.
Foru reward cars are part of the playlist:
- Buick GNX El Sereno Lowrider Edition
- Buick GNX West Side Lowrider Edition 1987
- Hoonigan Chevrolet Caprice Donk 1971
- Chevrolet Caprice Weasel D. Customs Donk Edition
The aim is to pick a side, and then work your way up to a fully customised ride.
A fresh ‘car dance’ game mechanic is also present, a rhythm-based feature where you must bounce a car skyward on its hydraulics. When stationary, a press of a button engages the mode, then the left analogue stick makes it ‘dance’. A “Street Versus” mode is a derivation of drag racing.
A second playlist, Off-Roading Addict Vol. 2, arrived on 14th August.
Further new vehicles
Across the three-month duration of Season 4, 21 new cars and eight returning cars from The Crew 2 will be added.
It kicks off with the 2021 Audi RS6 Avant from The Crew 2 today, 3rd July, and the new 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse at the end of the month, 31st July.
Those who watch a Twitch stream with drops enabled can pick up a heavily customised BMW M8 plus matching in-game apparel.
