The Crew Motorfest Chase Squad DLC will add five new reward cars

Next month will see The Crew Motorfest receive its first major expansion, with a free new map to explore set on the volcanic Maui island in Hawaii. On top of that, the Year 2 Pass will bring a new Hot Pursuit-style cop chase mode in a downloadable content pack known as The Chase Squad.

The DLC sees you become the fourth member of The Chase Squad, an elite police force working to take down a group of rebellious street racers.

Before you’re unleashed onto the streets, the DLC begins with training missions, culminating in a high-speed pursuit trial with you chasing and taking out a fleeing speedster. Once the training is complete, a dedicated Chase Squad Playlist will provide a series of night-time pursuit missions to complete.

Beyond the playlist, the Chase Squad DLC will utilise Motorfest’s open world in ‘Rivals Chase’ events. As you patrol the streets, events will trigger random face-off-style chases across the island. These events will be tracked on a Rivals Board unlocked after completing the playlist.

“For the Chase Squad, we wanted to bring the fantasy of the chase that players love, while adding a twist to the experience with a different approach. We introduced the rivalry between the Chase Squad and the Street Racers, organised as a new Motorfest experience,” Associate Creative Director Julien Hummer explained.

“As a player, you will join the Motorfest Chase Squad and progress from rookie to full member of the team. From mastering the basics of squad driving to immersing yourself in relentless, brutal and uncompromising chase action against street rivals.”

“We have pulled out all the stops to deliver this unique playlist, including: a visceral and impactful musical approach (embodied by an original creation with Carpenter Brut), new game modes featuring spectacular chases and takedowns, a very special line-up of highly customisable vehicles that are enhanced at night, and open-world activities against rivals to continue the highly crafted playlist experience.”

As Ivory Tower explains in a blog post, Rivals Chase missions will see you use intel to track down rivals in the open world. Taking them out will unlock new reward cars including:

• Pontiac GTO Rival Edition + Clawblades Tyre
• Alfa Romeo Giulia Rival Edition + Nightstalker Tyre
• BMW M5 CS Rival Edition + Diamond Fangs Tyre
• Delorean DMC 12 Rival Edition + Quickwhiskers Tyre

Beating every rival will also unlock a “mystery reward.”

Launching on 6^th November, The Chase Squad will be available as standalone paid DLC or as part of the Year 2 Pass, with pricing details yet to be announced. This will mark the first time police chases have featured in The Crew since 2016’s Calling All Units DLC for the now-delisted original game.
