Want to take a trip down memory lane this summer? Hot Wheels Unleashed‘s July Monthly Update will take you on a tour of nostalgia with the latest DLC available now in the digital stores.
The fresh haul features the monstrous superhero, Swamp Thing, who first appeared in DC Comics House of Secrets #92 in July 1971, modified into the tiny car version that looks just as slimy with iridescent green paint.
Mattel’s very own blue-skinned humanoid Skeletor, who hides his bare-bone skull under a purple hood, also joins the summer crew in a colourful hot rod version adapted from the Master of the Universe franchise, which dates back to 1981.
And continuing with the villainous vibe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles archenemy, Shredder, who made his comic book debut in 1984, has been crafted into a stunning sleek silver model with splashes of purple on the rims and hood of the car.
To accompany the three spooky vehicles, a Retro Game Customization Pack will give users the chance to morph their Basement into a blast from the past with 11 unique items, including new wallpapers, decorations, and old-fashioned posters to truly relive the 80s.
Unless your Elon Musk, it’s pretty difficult to experience floating around in space sans gravity. Thankfully for the rest of us, Hot Wheels has unleashed a Zero Gravity Checkpoint Module included in the July DLC, too.
If you’ve already purchased the full Vol.3 pass, then no sweat! You’ll have access to the July Monthly Update as of 14th July, and even next month’s update, dropping on 4th August. A Looney Tunes Expansion is now also available.
All items will be available to buy individually, for the below prices, or you can buddle up with the Hot Wheels Pass Vol.3 for £24.99/$29.99.
