Hot Wheels Unleashed updates continue apace and developer Milestone has another wave of content set to drop through June, July and August – including a tie-in with the legendary cartoon series Looney Tunes.
The Looney Tunes Expansion is set to arrive on the 14th July and will add a brand new environment to the game. Anyone hoping to relive the Wile E. Coyote vs the Road Runner chases can do so thanks to the included Desert setting.
The new environment, titled ‘Looney Tunes Adventure Park’, is set to contain three more undisclosed areas, plus five new vehicles and Looney Tunes themed Customisable Items and a track builder Module.
The Looney Tunes Expansion can be purchased separately, or as part of the Hot Wheels Pass Vol.3 content drop. The Vol.3 Pass will add content through June, July and August.
Hot Wheels Pass Vol.3 will add nine additional vehicles in total – including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Jetsons and He-Man themed cars – three track Modules and three Customisation Packs – including one based on Cyberpunk 2077. And we’re definitely a fan of Cyberpunk’s cars…
Hot Wheels Unleashed has been a surprise hit, and in our review we described it as “good, old-fashioned, sideways fun for all ages” And thanks to this success, Milestone revealed that the game became profitable after just two days on sale.
Pricing details for the Hot Wheels Pass Vol.3 and Looney Tunes Expansion are yet to be revealed, but Pass Vol.1 and Pass Vol.2 both cost £24.99. Recent Batman and Monster Trucks expansions also currently sell for £11.99, so we’d expect similar pricing for the new content.
