Surprise! DiRT Rally 2.0 receives new liveries and TRUEFORCE support

DiRT Rally 2.0 has received a new update today that adds some new liveries and force feedback updates for Logitech wheel owners. Lovely, as we thought previously that perhaps the game was no longer receive changes. Thankfully, we were wrong.

We will talk about the liveries first because these are from the recent DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series which were broadcast live on Traxion. Six liveries for the Subaru Impreza 1995, used by Lukáš Matěja to win the rally title, have been added to the game, alongside six new styles for the Volkswagen Polo R Supercar, helmed by Quentin Dall’olmo to win the rallycross esports championship.

This means that our very own logo is in DiRT Rally 2.0. We’ll try not to get lost in our own hubris when we say this addition is rather cool.

For owners of the Logitech G923 racing wheel peripheral, support has now been added to the game for the snazzy new FFB, TRUEFORCE. Other small Logitech-related issues have now been resolved, along with the engine sound for the Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 rally car.

Finally, the Volkswagen logo in the game has now been updated to match the new real-life branding. No, not Voltswagen…

The full patch notes are below for you in bullet point form should that take your fancy, taken from the Codemasters forum.
