Racing Unleashed will take on its most ambitious sim racing lounge yet, with 17 motion rigs at Zurich’s Europaallee shopping area.

State-of-the-art sim centre set for Zurich launch

A new sim racing lounge is set to bring an ultra-realistic driving experience to the heart of Zurich, as Racing Unleashed plans to open a new location later this year.

For those not familiar, the Swiss outfit creates advanced motion simulators, each with a formula-style Italian-made fibreglass body, hydraulic brake pedals, direct drive wheel bases plus pitch, roll and yaw movement.

Each is used alongside a triple-screen setup, with sound from integrated speakers and a five-point harness that includes g-force emulation.

Anyone can book a session on these bleeding-edge simulators in its lounges, which currently cover Switzerland, Germany and Spain.

The new flagship 500 square meter facility will be in the Swiss city’s Europaallee area, near the main rail station. Alongside the sims, it will feature an Ascari Bar (themed around the Ascari race track, which Racing Unleashed has exclusive access to) serving food and beverages.

When it opens this summer, the 17 simulators will not only be used by visitors, but also hired for business functions and potentially as part of Racing Unleashed’s unique Racer and Challenge League esports competitions.

It plans to open further lounges in metropolitan centers across Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East, plus create a simulator in partnership with McLaren.
