Sportscar Pros return to the virtual track with IMSA Pro Series

It has been less than seven days since the chequered flag fell on the 2021 instalment of the Sebring 12 hours, yet IMSA racing fans will only have a short wait before racing resumes on the iconic track… in the virtual world that is.

Yes, that’s right, the IMSA iRacing Pro Series (now Presented by SimCraft) returns for more virtual action after the success of the series in 2020. The three-round championship kicks off at Sebring in iRacing on 8th April 2021, before concluding at Road Atlanta in May.

  • Thursday, 8th April, Sebring International Raceway
  • Thursday, 22nd April, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca
  • Thursday, 6th May, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta

The hour-long races are not quite the full endurance format IMSA fans are used to, but unlike the 2020 edition, the 50-car grid will be split into two classes, GTLM and LMP2, which should hopefully deliver some great on-track racing.

There is no word or rumour about which drivers will be taking part currently, but we hope the likes of Rodrigo Pflucker, Shane van Gisbergen, Conor De Phillippi and series one champion Bruno Spengler all return to battle it out again.

The races begin at 18:30 ET and will be broadcast on the iRacing YouTube and Facebook channels.
