Gran Turismo 7 adds 10 engine swaps, including rally-powered Citroen BX

• 10 engine swap combinations added to Gran Turismo 7 in the 1.63 update
• Highlights include a rally-engined Citroën BX and a Hemi-powered GR Yaris

Gran Turismo 7’s September 1.63 update has arrived, and alongside the new cars and career events come 10, yes 10, new engine swap combinations.

That means, within GT Auto, you can now purchase additional engines for cars previously ‘swap enabled’, but also, further models are offering the change for the first time.

This has to be one of the wildest updates in a long time. Both the hot hatch Toyota GR Corolla and GR Yaris can have the Dodge Hemi V8 under their hoods. In a rare sight, the Land Cruiser FJ40, which is new to the game, has the ability to put the Toyota drift car engine right off the bat.

Then there’s the BAC Mono with a Suzuki Gr.3 engine, or even crazier, the Citroën BX with 588bhp thanks to the Audi Sport quattro S1 Pikes Peak ’87 motor up front. Utter lunacy.
