Mega Man is set to join Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds’ character roster next year as part of a themed DLC pack included in the season pass.
Announced in a trailer during Sony’s State of Play presentation, the Blue Bomber will be joined by Proto Man as new playable characters, along with a new themed course based on Dr. Wily’s Castle and a vehicle inspired by Mega Man’s robot dog companion, Rush.
As outlined in a DLC roadmap released by Sega, the Mega Man-themed DLC will be available in Q2 next year via the season pass. It will be one of several themed DLC packs included in the season pass, with four updates planned between Q4 2025 and Q3 2026.
Later this year, the first season pass DLC will feature characters from SpongeBob SquarePants in Q4 2025, with Pac-Man to follow in Q1 2026.
After the Mega Man DLC drops in Q3 next year, Q4 2026 will see the arrival of characters and courses from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar Legends.
Alongside the paid DLC, free updates will add crossover characters from other Sega franchises throughout 2026. Hatsune Miku is available at launch, followed by Persona’s Joker in October and Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon in November.

The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Season Pass costs £24.99 or is included in the Digital Deluxe Edition.
