Sim racing personalities line up for Le Mans Virtual All-Star race 02

During the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual qualifying session, an All Stars race will see some of your favourite sim racing personalities take to the Circuit de la Sarthe.

17 identical Porsche 911 (922) GT3 Cup cars will take part in a five-lap race within simulator rFactor 2 with no, planned, pitstops.

The full provisional list is below, but some highlights include Jaroslav Honzik, aka Jardier, the Czech sim racing content creator on his way to 100k YouTube subscribers. He’s also the 2021 Alpine Esports champion, with a particular focus on Assetto Corsa Competizione.

“I’m very excited because I don’t play rFactor 2 very much, but I’ve heard only good things about the new Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Cup,” said Jardier to Traxion.GG.

“Of course, I watch the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual so I’m happy to be part of this event as the pre-race exhibition!”

He’ll be joined by James West, aka Gamermuscle. YouTube’s preeminent sim racing DJ, when there’s a Fanatec patty in town, underestimate the jovial West at your peril.

Aidan Millward – racing esports commentator and motorsport storyteller – will also take part, and he knows rFactor 2 perhaps even more than he does ‘90s British Touring Car Championship trivia.

Traxion.GG’s very own Allan McNish, Ross McGregor, will also be partaking, hoping to romp away to a win as he did during a Race of the Season last year.

Gomez Sim Industries’ Dan Suzuki, Lyubov Ozeretskovskaya aka LoveFortySix, Formula 1 Twitch streamer and Alpine ambassador Thom Brouwer aka THOMB and Steve Mazonis aka MrGit will also be on the grid. So too will Studio 397’s Paul Jeffrey.

The joker of the pack could be Sebastian Priaulx, the Porsche Carrera Cup North America champion and real-world 24 Hours of Le Mans competitor who will take part ahead of the main race on Saturday.
