Screen to Speed documentary to air 25th June

The Screen to Speed esports event has had a documentary made of the event and it will air on the Init Esports Twitch on 25th June.

The historic all-female esports competition that took place in March, Screen to Speed by Init Esports, has a new documentary that’s set to premiere on the 25th of June, live on the Init Esports Twitch channel.

After weeks of qualifying, a roster of 19 women in sim racing took to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway during NASCAR weekend on 4th March to compete for the grand prize. The event was sponsored by Pennzoil, Next Level Racing and was powered by the Kelly-Moss Racing Team. The racing all took place on the iRacing platform.

Ireland’s Saoirse Fitzpatrick took the inaugural victory and scored a ton of prizes which included $15,000 in cash, a new Next Level Racing simulation rig, and the opportunity to drive a Kelly-Moss Porsche race car in a Speed Vegas test drive alongside Kelly-Moss driver and former W Series competitor Sabré Cook.

The preview trailer for the documentary shows some of the lead up to the competition, the competition and broadcast itself, and the aftermath of it all which looks to include Fitzpatrick’s Porsche test with Cook. The premiere will be set to go live at 3:00 pm EST / 12:00 pm PST / 9:00 pm CEST.
