As the 2021 Formula E Accelerate esports competition kicks off later this evening, Romain Grosjean has put together a brief circuit guide so you can see the tight and twisty New York City venue.

Utilising rFactor 2, the competition will utilise Attack Mode for the first time in a virtual setting, much like the real-life Formula E races. Competitors are competing for a share of a €100,000 prize pot and the ultimate prize of a drive in a Formula E Gen2 car.

After a qualification round, 24 racers across 12 teams will battle for glory, with the New York City track being the first. The title battle will be broadcast live via Formula E’s website and YouTube channel, but before then, Romain will show you circuit layout.

Romain will not be participating himself, but two esports drivers in his R8G squad, are. Erhan Jajovski and Risto Kappe will race for ROKiT Venturi and Nio333 respectively.

Stay tuned to Traxion as we’ll be delivering post-race reports after each of the six rounds.
