Update: Studio 397 has confirmed that Zolder will join rFactor 2’s track roster on 26th August, with a new video showcasing the classic Belgian circuit.
The track scan has been conducted by a third-party, Frederick Alonso, as a passion project, before being approved by rFactor 2 developer Studio 397.
Original article: No, that’s not a mistake; we didn’t type ‘rFactor 2’ instead of ‘Le Mans Ultimate’, the 12-year-old sim racing title really is about to receive some new content.
Despite parent company Motorsport Games and development team Studio 397 focused on Le Mans Ultimate, rFactor 2 is set to receive the Zolder circuit, if a social media teaser is anything to go by.
“It’s been a minute, but something new is coming 👀🇧🇪,” reads the post, with an image of the Belgian venue’s Villeneuve Chicane.

The track doesn’t exist within the platform in an official capacity, or as DLC, but a community-made mod has existed via the Steam Workshop.
There’s no release window or indication if it will be free or premium content at this stage.

Aside from the odd multiplayer connect hotfix, rFactor 2 has not been significantly supported since the launch of the developer’s Le Mans Ultimate game.
Zolder, however, wouldn’t be the first new content for the title during that period, however, as 2024/25 Formula E teams were added in March, while the Circuit de la Sarthe venue and two Ferrari race cars were removed last November.
