Revosim 9Nm wheel, load cell pedals, target sim racing establishment in June
A new sim racing equipment ecosystem is on the way, this time by Nacon, with the Revosim Pure the first to arrive. It also has a unique app to replace a DDU, plus a launch bundle.
Video game publisher and gaming accessory manufacturer, Nacon, is about to enter the sim racing equipment market with its Revosim line.
The French company – also known for the creation of titles such as Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge and prior WRC games – will begin with the Revosim Pure.
The Revosim Pure is an all-new 9Nm peak-torque direct drive wheel base, with quick release and a custom steering wheel. There’s also a unique phone mount, desk mount and a two-pedal setup included – the latter with a 100kg load cell brake.
It marks the start of an expansive ecosystem, with a handbrake, shifter and clutch pedal set to follow soon after its initial launch, plus different styles of wheel rims. The included 30cm diameter steering wheel is a wheel hub with a round rim affixed, with further rim styles in active development.
The wheel hub includes LED shift lights, 12 push-buttons, a rotary (and push) dial and the equivalent of a ‘Funkyswitch’ for menu navigation. Included is a sticker sheet for the buttons, and the button caps can be switched out for different coloured items – a pack is thrown in.
Around the rear lie two metal gearshift paddles. The entire build of the pedals is metal, with a pack of nine elastomers (across three firmness levels) bundled in.
Unique app replaces DDU
One of the more distinctive features is the use of smartphones. Instead of an optional dashboard display (which theoretically you could still use on PC if you wish), Nacon has created a dedicated mobile app for iOS and Android.
This is where you can alter various settings, such as force feedback strength, brake curves and wheel rotation, and the wheel will instantly update thanks to a Bluetooth connection. These settings can be saved to one of four in-app profiles.
In future, these profiles can be shared for free via an online Revosim setup portal, with the team envisioning esports drivers or content creators offering their preferred settings.
Its integration is deep, with one of the physical wheel buttons used to swap profiles on the fly without pulling out your phone. A PC app is also on the way.
Part of the package is a phone mount, which fits small and large phones (a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra fitted with ease in our demonstration) on top of the wheel base. Alongside settings, it will be used as a telemetry and data read-out, much like a dedicated DDU.
The Revosim team says it is working now and after launch to support multiple sim racing titles.
Pricing and release date
The first deliveries are expected in June. There will be two initial flavours: with pedals or without. The wheel, base and pedals will be available to purchase separately over time.
Pre-orders are live today, 6th March 2025, priced from €799.90 for the ‘full’ bundle. Pricing for lesser bundles and individual items is set for unveiling later in the year.
Those who are among the first will also receive a pair of Revosim sim racing gloves, which also work on a phone touchscreen.
The setup is only for PC at this stage, although the outfit has confirmed that it “plans to develop versions for home consoles.”
