Rennsport’s latest update improves mirror detail, changes livery pricing

In its second major patch since its release, Rennsport has addressed some of our complaints.

Rennsport 04

Rennsport’s ‘Patch 2’ has now been released across PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it aims to remedy some of the more obvious ailments.

In particular, we noticed in our review that there was no way of avoiding a jump start when using automatic gears, and if you turn off the rear-view mirror, you get a black box on the HUD. Both of these quirks are now claimed to be remedied.

Likewise, there is set to be an upgrade for the rear-view mirror (and in-car display) quality, with a list of changes for that area.

The full changelog is listed below, within which is a potentially key change to livery pricing.

Rennsport track list

A source of chagrin, currency packs are to be purchased in set amounts; before then, you can purchase a design. The structure meant some would be priced above the entry-level pack price, meaning a purchase of a larger currency pack than the cost of the livery.

Packs are set in bundles of R$500 (£3.99), R$1,100 (£7.99), R$1,670 (£11.99) and R$4,000 (£28.99).

Livery prices would range from R$200 all the way up to R$400 and R$600 for some of the dynamic designs. The new pricing is R$100 for ‘normal’ and ‘R$150’, meaning if this is something you decide to purchase (hey, your call), you don’t need any of the larger packs.

In terms of AI fixes, their unrealistic qualifying lap times are said to be fixed, although we hope work is continuing on their overall on-track characteristics.
