Rennsport’s fourth patch adds replay, multiplayer and Praga fixes

It’s been a busy month since release, with improvements coming quickly to Rennsport.

Rennsport’s fourth patch adds replay, contest and Praga fixes

Sim racing game Rennsport has today, 11th December 2025, released its fourth major post-launch patch.

The update, Version 1.1.7, is available across all platforms, with some notable claimed changes.

Chiefly, the safety car (used for rolling stars in some event types) has been disabled for multiplayer events. Traxion experienced it to sometimes lose all control of its facilities online, and this has been switched off “until it learns how to behave.”

Smart move, let’s hope this can be remedied sometime early in 2026.

Elsewhere, the Praga R1 was noted as being a bit of a pig to drive – it now has new tyres and a revised setup. We’ll see if this is an improvement next time we boot Rennsport. Perhaps pertinently, outside of bugs, this (on paper) seems to be the first notable dynamics-focused tweak of late.

Opinion: Why time is running out for Rennsport

The replays have been beset with odd bugs, so there’s another suite of fixes here. You can now also rejoin an online contest (ranked race) during practice and qualifying sections of the event. Work continues on the single-player AI performance, now said to follow the driving line with greater accuracy.

The full changelog is below. This is expected to be the final update for 2025, with the creation team now aiming for further changes next year, including a bigger release in February that will include classic endurance race cars and the Le Mans track as DLC.

  • Fixed an issue where AI drivers sometimes received a valid finishing lap time when the stage ended even if they were still in the middle of their lap
  • Smoothed the target point for AI drivers, allowing them to follow the drive line better when no other cars are around
  • Adjusted AI behaviour to prevent them from insistently approaching the drive line during the first part of grid starts

Championships

  • Fixed a bug where championship progress failed to update when clicking “Finish Round” and skips the reward screen too quickly

  • Updated default bindings to address feedback from the community that the ignition input was being activated by mistake

MFD

  • Updated the MFD to have both forward and backward navigation

Rejoining is not possible during the Race stage.

  • Readded a button that was missing to allow you to tilt the camera when in Free Camera mode
