Rennsport has released an official statement addressing concerns surrounding the beleaguered racing simulator.
Custodian Competition Company has faced several challenges during a tumultuous development period, including an rFactor 2 code controversy, a lack of game updates and the financial difficulties of console publishing partner Nacon, but is bullish about the game’s future prospects:
“Throughout RENNSPORT’s history, we went through multiple troubling situations and are fully aware that our community deserves better,” a statement read.
“Our recent separation from Nacon, however, while causing some delays currently, will allow us to be much more flexible in the future with our plans, so people can expect some positives out of this, once everything has settled.
“And the goal for 2026 is clear: Becoming more transparent again and greatly improving the RENNSPORT experience.
“As we are waiting for the last self-publishing steps to complete, which will allow us to finally release the next big update to the game, we are already taking the first steps towards being more open with the community again – as can be seen with our recent communication.
