During tonight’s latest edition of the RaceRoom Grid Talk series, KW Studios revealed it would be bringing at least three modern Hypercars to the sim.
After previously teasing the BMW M Hybrid V8 and Lamborghini SC63 hybrid endurance racers, the Swedish studio also showcased the Porsche 963, bolstering the ranks of the game’s proposed LMDh class.
The Lamborghini currently appears in Automobilista 2, Le Mans Ultimate and Forza Motorsport, and while it doesn’t race in the World Endurance Championship this year, it maintains a one-car presence in the North American-based IMSA series.
The BMW appears in the same sims as the Lamborghini, plus iRacing and Rennsport, and it’s campaigned in WEC by crack endurance racing outfit WRT. Its two-car entry for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans could only muster a best result of 17th, despite initially qualifying an impressive fourth and sixth.
The #6 Porsche 963, on the other hand, ran the race-winning Ferrari close, falling short of victory by just 14s. The 963 has found a lot of success in WEC and IMSA overall, however, claiming three Teams’ and two Drivers’ championships in the last three seasons thus far.
This will likely make it the most popular choice among RaceRoom’s sports car fans, with the car already drivable in iRacing, AMS 2, Rennsport, LMU and Forza currently.

Intriguingly, RaceRoom’s Christian Wacker-Baur also revealed a fourth LMDh is currently in the works behind the scenes, with a fifth car under negotiation with an unnamed manufacturer. Exciting times ahead, then, but no word on whether LMH Hypercars like the Ferrari 499P or Toyota GR010 are under consideration.
RaceRoom plans to release its first batch of LMDh cars in the game’s next major update, due in September.
