Promising racing esports talent Timea Bencsik has been signed up by Romain Grosjean’ssquad, R8G Esports, for the 2022 season.
The 19-year old has delivered some impressive performances of late, across sim racing competitions on RaceRoom Racing Experience, Assetto Corsa, iRacing and rFactor 2.
In the most most recent Formula E: Accelerate season, the Hungarian drove for Envision Virgin Racing, followed by a wildcard entry into the Ferrari Esports Series. She also finished second in Season 3 of The Sim Grid More Female Racers championship on Assetto Corsa Competizione alongside competing in multiple top-level RaceRoom esports series.
To join R8G Esports, Bencsik leaves the Thrustmaster Rockets initiative, the peripheral manufacturer was encouraging towards her new venture.
The news follows the announcement that Jiri Toman and Marcell Csincsik will also be joining the team, as racing esports driver line-ups across the landscape evolve for the year ahead. With Timea’s wide skillset now on the roster, R8G Esports is clearly gunning for success in 2022.
