A new update has arrived for the all-encompassing Richard Burns Rally mod Rallysimfans and it’s a biggie, featuring a series of incredible new stages, including one from this year’s Rally Islas Canarias WRC event.
One of the five new stages is Toivonvaara, a high-quality snow stage set in Finland. Authored by Henri Pellinen, who has previously designed other incredible wintry stages like Savopohja, Toivonvaara features steep snow banks and a beautifully frosty landscape.
Kaczyce 3 is a real-world Polish venue by Dej Krzysztof. It’s a small layout within a larger rally complex and is extremely challenging thanks to its slippery concrete surface.

The incredible RBRHUD utility, which adds real-time realistic cockpit gauges, among other improvements, receives some more quality of life tweaks, while several stages get a coat of polish, including the recently added (and fiendishly difficult) Safari Rally-inspired Karagita Ruma, Ulu Karagita and Elmenteita tests.
The full changelog can be found at the bottom of this article.
However, the highlight for many rally fans will be the addition of the following three stages.

El Condor
El Condor is probably Rally Argentina’s most famous stage, featuring imposing rock formations, rickety bridges and a lot of passionate rally fans.
High in the Andes mountains, El Condor has been recreated in RBR by Trasky and the 9.7 Km gravel test is incredibly accurate. Swinging your car from left to right between a series of monolithic rocks is hugely atmospheric, as is witnessing the scores of fans perched high above the racing line.
Getting through the twisty stuff at the top of the stage is worth the wait, as the road opens up as you descend to the finish line.
Scene of Hayden Paddon’s high-speed run victory, where he smashed Sebastien Ogier’s time to claim his first WRC win, El Condor is a stage steeped in rally history, and it’s great to finally drive it in RBR.
Legazpi-Gabiria Winter
The original asphalt version of Legazpi-Gabiria is, in our eyes, the finest you can get in modern-day RBR. Reworked by JLStages, Legazpi-Gabiria Winter now has sections completely covered in snow, mud and treacherous black ice.
Thanks to multiple lighting setups, the stage also oozes Monte Carlo vibes, especially in its ‘Evening’ configuration, raising the bar once again for RBR stage design.
Good luck on the sheet ice section, it needs to be tackled at walking pace!
Agüimes – Santa LucÃa 2025
Lipe Valentin’s latest Rally Islas Canarias-inspired stage arrives just in time for the event’s WRC debut this week, with Agüimes – Santa LucÃa slated to run as SS14 and SS17 on the event.
The asphalt is smooth and features a few committed cuts, with a typically tortuous layout hugging some of Gran Canaria’s steepest cliffs.
It’s a lengthy stage, too, and requires much concentration to nail every apex, with Rally2 cars predicted to cover its 14.97 Km length in around nine minutes or so.

- Other tweaks and bug fixes here and there as usual.
RBRHUD 0.3.5.4 plugin by Towerbrah:
- Added a Track Settings editor tool that allows track makers to adjust track settings live in game. Press F4 and click Tools/TrackSettingsEditor menu. This feature is very useful for people creating new RBR stages.
- Fix delta times failing to exporting under certain windows configurations. Remember you can share your delta time benchmark results with your friends. You can share pacecar (ghostcar) recording files also if you want to organize “catch me if you can” type of races.
- Fix shader caching issue (this should hopefully fix the black windscreen bug). Remember the F4 RBRHUD menu has an option to adjust a windscreen transparency percentage also if you haven’t hidden the whole windscreen in RSFLauncher.Cockpit&Dashboard settings.

- Live cockpit gauges updated for BMW M1, Alpine A110, Peugeot 205, Trabant, Wartburg, Skoda 130LR and 130RS, Renault 5GTT, Abarth 131, Abarth 124, All Audi Quattros, BMW E36, Twingo R1/R2, C3 R5.
- Remember to tick RBRHUD Plugin, RBRHUD Overlays, RBRHUD Assets and RBR mud textures components in RallySimFans Installer app if those are not selected by default.

New maps:
- 562 Agüimes – Santa LucÃa 2025 by Lipe Valentin. Santa LucÃa stages are highly appreciated and now Lipe has brought us a new Canarian Islands rally stage to complete the rally event there. And perfect timing because this stage will be driven in WRC Rally Islas Canarias rally later this week. See https://trackbuilderspain.com/modders/lipe/ for more details and how to support Lipe’s work of art.
- Â 564 El Condor by Trasky. Oh, how lucky we all are to have Track Builder Spain community around us. Now this Trasky’s latest one is quite a unique looking stage. The majestic El Condor name already takes our minds to rocky mountains and it is exactly what this stage is. This is a beautiful and unique stage we know you will love. See https://trackbuilderspain.com/modders/trasky-tracks/ web site for more details and how to support Trasky’s work.
- Â 565 Legazpi-Gabiria Winter by Jan Kaderabek, Lorenzo Clerici. Gabiria/Legazpi summer tarmac stages are landmarks in RBR stage history. Few years ago those stages pushed RBR map quality to the next level. Now Gabiria/Legazpi map authors are back with a winter version of Legazpi-Gabiria stage. Slippery corners, snow and black ice (this is the first public stage using this new NGP surface type) here and there gives Monte Carlo vibes. See https://www.jlstages.com/ and https://www.patreon.com/c/jkad/ for more details
- Â Â 567 Kaczyce 3 by Dej Krzysztof. Kaczyce is a real life rally park in Poland which has several different road line options. This version is a compact 3 km version of the rally park. This may be short stage, but you still need good pacenotes to make a record time.
- Â 563 Toivonvaara by Henri Pellinen. Those who still miss slippery winter snow roads can refresh their driving skills in this new stage in Finland. A snowbank can either save or end your rally, make your pick how you want to use snowbanks.
