A new update for the Rallysimfans mod for Richard Burns Rally has just been released, introducing four entirely new stages to the classic rally title.
Two of these come from author NaroGugul, who has previously created superlative Brazilian tests for the game, and Graciosa I and Graciosa II continue his trend for making attractive-looking South American stages.
A third stage comes from the BlueKnightTracks team. Set in Italy, Fosso delle Dogane is a break from the norm in that it’s gravel-based, as opposed to the country’s more prevalent asphalt stages.
However, the fourth stage is a first for RBR, as it uses photogrammetry to provide one of the most realistic-looking maps for the game.
Longyou 2024 SSS was created in Blender by SimRallyCN and offers four versions of a 1.8 km superspecial stage, including one lap, two lap and reversed configurations. The technical test is full of tight hairpin bends and tricky cambers, with convincing road textures and tortuous bumps adding to the realism.
The v1.56.0 update also adds a host of improvements to a few other stages, including Wythop, El Condor and Liptakov. Kuri Bush, Mattila, Elmenteita and Kinamba Yala have also been given significant visual overhauls, belying their Bob’s Track Builder origins.
