Rocket League Ford F-150

In an interesting corporate tie-up, a brand-new Ford vehicle is coming to Rocket League. The Ford F1-150 RLE Commercial is a futuristic take on the USA’s bestselling pick-up truck.

The new ride will only be available for a limited time, however, between 20th February to 28th February, so you’ll have to get your skates on boost charged if you’d like to try it out. It will cost 1,500 in-game credits. For reference, credits are available in packs of 500, 1,100, 3,000 and 6,500. 3,000 credits cost £19.23/$24.99/€22.55 at present.

For your credits, you will also receive a chairman decal, two sets of F-150 wheels, F-150 Rocket League Edition engine audio, F-150 boost and F-150 player banner. Oh, and kiwi fruit for wheels. This looks like a properly thought-out pack and we think it’s further evidence of car manufacturers taking esports seriously – launching a new concept vehicle in a game is a bold move.

During the same timeframe of availability, in game banner adverts during the Rocket League Championship Series Winter Majors will be displayed. It’s worth nothing that you cannot customise the F-150 with items from other licensed IP within the game.

We don’t normally cover Rocket League on Traxion, but this is an interesting collaboration that may interest racing fans. What do you think? Do you play Rocket League to cool down after a racing-game session? Let us know in the comments.
