Kunos Simulazioni just dropped another teaser of its upcoming sim Assetto Corsa EVO today (8th October 2024), revealing it will also be playable at this year’s ADAC SimRacing Expo.
The one-minute-long trailer shows the development team, including Kunos’ co-founder and Executive Manager Marco Massarutto and BS+ COMPETITION sim racer Nils Naujoks, taking real-world road and racecars for a spin on-track.
Assetto Corsa EVO: Possible new cars and tracks revealed
Interestingly, some of the featured road cars have yet to be announced for AC EVO, could this mean that the new Alfa Romeo Junior, Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA, BMW M2, a Nissan 350Z drift car and single-make Legends racecars (featuring new-for-2024 three-cylinder Yamaha engines) could appear in-game? Additionally, will drifting receive more attention than it did in Assetto Corsa considering the latter’s popularity with virtual drifters?
We were also treated to the sight of Massarutto driving a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 at Vallelunga: does that mean this car and track combo will also be formally announced for AC EVO? Considering Kunos is headquartered near the Italian track it seems probable. The Castelletto Circuit also features.
More behind-the-scenes footage was shown of Naujoks driving a Hyundai Ioniq 5 N at the Nordschleife, with Vallelunga’s wet skid pan showcasing some Alpine A110 slidey action.
The teaser trailer also announced that AC EVO would be playable at next week’s ADAC SimRacing Expo, featuring at the Logitech, Fanatec, Moza/Cooler Master/Caseking, rSeat, Hyundai and Simucube stands.
