It’s been almost a full year since the release of MX vs ATV Legends from THQ Nordic and Rainbow Studios. To celebrate the first year down, the game is set to get an “exclusive box edition” release on 4th July. It’ll release as MX vs ATV Legends Season One and it will cost £24.99 / $29.99.

This physical-only box will include the game and all of its updates, plus all of the DLC tracks such as Slayground, the 2022 AMA Pro Motocross Championship and the Supercross World Tour. Those interested can already get it pre-ordered on Amazon for PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles in the US and UK.

MX vs ATV Legends has had a rocky start in its first year. When we reviewed it in July 2022, we said that the title had “some of the best tracks seen in motocross racing” but “the lack of riding and driving finesse leaves a nasty aftertaste and it’s this most basic of a requirement that holds it back.”

Since then, there have been numerous positive updates to the title, including a significant physics overhaul that changed how the tires interacted with the surface. This re-release in physical form is meant to encapsulate all the forward progress over the last year.

Currently, MX vs ATV Legends is available for PlayStation, Xbox and PC via Steam for $39.99, with DLC options up to $19.99 more in cost. If you can hold out for another month, it looks like you’ll get what’s currently a $90 deal in physical form for less than $30.
