The first DLC pack for Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 5 is available as of 7th April 2022. This pack of content includes five legendary Supercross all-stars, including Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Johnson, Jeff Stanton, Kevin Windham and Jeff Ward.

On top of that, players will also receive a track inspired by the historic Pontiac Silverdome, specifically the 2002 edition. This particular venue was where Nathan Ramsey held off Ricky Carmichael for his first career win in the 2002 season.

For Supercross gamers, you might remember Jeremy McGrath from his line of Supercross games back at the end of the 1990’s and early 2000’s. McGrath, in general, is one of the most decorated Supercross competitors.

McGrath may be referred to as the King of Supercross with his seven Monster Energy AM Supercross championships between 1993 and 2000 (only missing out in 1997). He also leads all-time with 85 career victories at the top level.

Outside of Supercross, McGrath also owns a Pro 2 division title in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, and had a deal with JR Motorsports to drive a Late Model stock car at one point.

The racing legend Jeff Ward has just about done it all in his career. Ward is a two-time Supercross champion in 1985 and 1987, with 20 career wins to his name.

After a successful run with Supercross, Ward moved into four-wheeled motorsports within the IndyCar ranks, finishing second in the 1999 Indianapolis 500 and winning at Texas Motor Speedway in 2002. He also made an attempt to qualify for a NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix in 1998, but did not qualify.

Ward returned to the two-wheel show and won a pair of AMA Supermoto titles in 2004 and 2006, as well as a pair of X-Games Supermoto titles in 2006 and 2008.

Another famous rider from the same 1980s era, Ricky Johnson was often seen as Jeff Ward’s biggest rival. Johnson owns the off-setting Supercross titles to Ward, winning top honors in the 1986 and 1988 seasons.

Johnson has more victories than Ward, amassing 28 total in his career. He also has a trio of titles in The Off Road Championship (TORC), one in the Pro 2 and two in the Pro 4.

He’s another fellow who has ties to NASCAR, specifically in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series where he has 12 career starts and a best career finish of fourth in the 1997 Sonoma Raceway event.

Despite only having three Supercross titles, Jeff Stanton may be referenced as SIX TIME due to his ability to match each of his Supercross title seasons with an accompanying Motocross title.

Stanton took the reigns of the Supercross world starting in 1989, winning again in 1990 and 1992. It was right in between the Ward versus Johnson era and the dominant era of McGrath.

Kevin Windham, also known as K-Dub, is one of the best, if not the best ever to never win a major Supercross title. K-Dub has 30 career victories and two West Series Supercross titles to his name on top of a long career which started back in 1994 professionally.

Number 14 has been retired from the Monster Energy AM Supercross Series since 2013, but still does some riding professionally from time to time.
