The official game of the US-based championship, Monster Energy Supercross 5 will be added to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription services on 6th September.

The Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus are a relatively new optional addition to the service that already delivers a handful of games to download each month and online services.

Supercross 5 will be available to play in both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 flavours and will sit alongside its Milestone-developed brethren MXGP 2021 and racing titles such as Assetto Corsa Competizione, Monster Jam Steel Titans 2, Project CARS 2, Ride 4, Wreckfest and WRC 10 FIA World Rally Championship.

The dirt bike racer was released in March this year and in our review, we felt like it was a significant step forward for the series, with slicker presentation and more accessible riding than 2021’s Supercross 4.

Extra, Premium and Essential Plus subscribers will also have the option of adding Need for Speed Heat to their libraries throughout September.
