- Team Redline rebranded to Verstappen Sim Racing
- Sim racing squad set to continue with virtual-to-real driver development push
Four years on from launching his all-encompassing Verstappen.com Racing squad, Max Verstappen has formally absorbed sim racing outfit Team Redline into its stable.
Redline had previously spearheaded all of Verstappen.com’s sim racing activities, but has now been rebranded to Verstappen Sim Racing with immediate effect. The adjustment appears to be largely superficial, however, with no discernible changes to the team’s personnel or goals.
Team Redline was established in 2000 by Domino Duhan and has achieved consistent success since then across a variety of platforms, including the Esports World Cup (2024-25) and Le Mans Virtual Series (2021-23, multiple classes).
Four-time Formula 1 world champion Verstappen has been a passionate exponent of sim racing throughout his career and, in recent years, has made no secret of his ambition to help virtual racers enter motorsport.
Virtual to real
Most famously, this has applied to Redline teammate Chris Lulham, who, with the help of funding from Verstappen, has forged an impressive career in sportscar racing, culminating in a 2025 24 Hours of Spa class win. For 2026, Lulham will again race in the GT World Challenge Europe series, partnering with Aston Martin F1 simulator driver Daniel Juncadella.
