Despite launching only three years ago, LEGO 2K Drive is set to be delisted from digital storefronts next week.
An announcement on the game’s Steam page confirms that the underrated open-world racer will be delisted from all digital storefronts on Tuesday, 19 May. This announcement was also shared on the game’s PlayStation and Xbox digital store pages.
“This product will no longer be available for purchase as of 05/19/2026,” it reads. The statement adds that all multiplayer servers will shut down on 31st May, 2027.
While the game will remain playable and downloadable for those who already own it after these dates, any aspect that requires the online servers will no longer function.
Developed by WWE 2K and NBA 2K studio Visual Concepts, LEGO 2K Drive launched in May 2023. It sees players explore the fully destructible open world of Bricklandia, build and customise vehicles, and progress through a story mode.
It’s not yet known why the game is being delisted after just three years, but expired licensing is likely to blame. Similarly, games from the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon series are often removed from digital storefronts due to expired license deals with car manufacturers.
“Despite some hangups, the structure and world that LEGO 2K Drive has created for its desired audience is very much assured,” we wrote in our original review.
“For those who are advancing in years, perhaps you can see through some of its overly-simplistic handling or DLC models – but play it co-operatively with someone younger and watch their imagination light up.”
