Following the release of Le Mans Ultimate’s potentially genre-defining co-op mode earlier this week, the development team at Studio 397 has already implemented a notable change.
In testing, we noticed that if a stint is restarted (we can be actioned in the pause menu) during a collaborative event, it would skip the pitstop time.
This could be potentially advantageous – when players swap drivers during a pitstop, restarting the stint would possibly see the car with fresh tyres and topped-up fuel without waiting for them to be added.
The first hotfix, live now, since the major update now removes this possible exploit. It also re-centres the co-op events on the menu for event selection.
Mid-race saves were also recently introduced, and this hotfix also makes sure your AI-powered rivals refuel correctly following the loading of an event.
Rounding out this patch are minor fixes to known game crashes.
COTA Special Event
Celebrating a ninth track now available for the FIA World Endurance Championship’s official driving simulation, an online special event has been scheduled for this coming weekend.
For those with the second DLC pack, which includes Circuit of the Americas, the event will be available to enter between 27th-29th September as a full-grid, multi-class (all three) race with a minimum entry rating of Bronze 2.
