The final races of Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini’s The Real Race esports series took place over the weekend (16th October 2022), and the winners of its three regional competitions were finally decided.
In the third iteration of its The Real Race esports contest, Lamborghini split drivers into three separate regions: Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA), North America/Latin America (NALA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC). All were competing for a prize pool of €15,000 and the chance to join the Sant’Agata-based marque’s esports team as a full-time sim driver.
The 2021 regional competitions were won by Jordan Sherratt (EMEA), Fidel Moreira (NALA) and Andrew O’Hara (APAC), with Sherratt going on to join Giorgio Simonini and Gianfranco Giglioli as an official Automobili Lamborghini Esports Team driver.
Using Assetto Corsa Competizione’s Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo2 (included with the Challengers Pack DLC) a total of 2,751 drivers took part in qualifying with each regional winner receiving a €2,000 Amazon voucher.
After a series of wet races from Suzuka, Spa-Francorchamps and Laguna Seca for the APAC, EMEA and NALA regions respectively, Lukas Birss, Niklas Houben and Renan Negrini emerged as regional winners.
