JDM: Japanese Drift Master is shaping up to be a pretty, expansive and unique racing game – and it will be coming to consoles, Traxion can confirm.

The game, created by the Polish Gaming Factory team, follows a free, PC-only, prologue called Rise of the Scorpion. Released for a limited time last year, it acted as a taste of things to come, charming the Traxion team.

Since then, we tested an early build of the full JDM title at Gamescom, once again impressed by the potential.

Recently, the game was announced for a release on 26th March 2025 on PC across three stores – Steam, Epic and GOG. It will feature licenced, tunable, cars, around 250 km of roads and a Manga-inspired story.

But, those with a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S were set to miss out – until now.

“Consoles are a big part of our publishing plans, “ said Wojciech Babiński, Lead Game Designer, to Traxion when asked about console versions.

“Once the PC version is out, we’ll shift our focus to porting.

“It’s too early to provide a release window, but we’ll do our best to ensure players don’t have to wait too long.”

The project started nearly three years ago and is built upon the Unreal Engine 5 codebase. A platform that is designed with both PC and console in mind, it is capable of stunning visuals, as evidenced by JDM’s recent pre-release trailers.
