It’s nearly time for a new season of iRacing, and that means a fresh slate of races, platform refinements and new available content.
Here’s what to expect, following the title’s recent development update blog by Senior VP and Executive Producer, Greg Hill.
iRacing Season 1 2026 available cars
- FIA Cross Car
- Porsche 911 Cup (992.2)
FIA Cross Car

Confirmed as in development back in August, the FIA Cross Car will be a new entry-level rallycross machine and, crucially, will be added in Season 1 2026 for no additional charge for existing iRacing subscribers.
These buggy-style open-wheel vehicles have a buzzy engine in the back, modest power but a very low kerbweight. This, combined with rear-wheel drive, should make for lurid slides.
To complement the vehicle, a new FIA Cross Car (Fixed) series using the also-no-extra-charge rallycross venues will be added to the race roster.
Porsche 911 Cup (992.2)

You may be thinking that this car is already available for, and used extensively within, iRacing – and you’d be nearly correct.
This is set to be the virtual debut of the upgraded 992.2 edition (main article image), replacing the model that was first released for the platform in September 2021.
This revised model made its real-world debut earlier this year, and with a matching sim wheel created by VPG.
Alongside updated aero, suspension geometry and 10 extra horsepower, the ‘.2’ will come with an updated wet and dry tyre model. Perhaps most contentious is the addition of an anti-locking braking system – mitigating locked brakes has been a staple of this car up until this point.
Traction control will also be enabled alongside ABS. An additional configuration to match the actual Nürburgring Nordschleife requirements will also be included when racing at the Green Hell.
This will be a paid-for car. However, those who own the 991.1 before its release will receive the .2 upgrade for no further charge.
iRacing Season 1 2026 available tracks
- Miami International Autodrome
- Lucas Oil Speedway- Off Road
- Adelaide Street Circuit
- Rockingham Speedway (refresh)
- Mount Panorama, Bathurst (refresh)
Most of these were also confirmed for iRacing development earlier this year, and we knew Miami’s grand prix venue would make it in December – but now we know the full lineup for the next content release.
Miami International Autodrome

First used for the Miami Grand Prix in 2022, the semi-permanent venue surrounding the Hard Rock Stadium was recently updated – shorter layouts are now a permanent fixture and can be used for track days and, soon, a Formula E race.
iRacing states that it had a role in “supporting their ability to test configurations and provide feedback during the project’s development,” as the venue went through the necessary changes recently.
The full grand prix layout will be included in the purchase of this track, alongside the four possible other smaller configurations.
Lucas Oil Speedway- Off Road

No, this is not the existing Missouri clay oval, but instead a neighbouring off-road track on the same plot of land.
Designed for use with the service’s dirt vehicles – think the Lucas Oil Off Road Pro 4 Truck – expect a route that’s 1.3 miles long with a 20-foot-tall jump and banked turns.
It will be bundled with a purchase of the oval. So newcomers receive both layouts for one cost, existing owners receive the off-road layout for no additional charge.
Adelaide Street Circuit

This Australian venue has been a long time coming, but we’re glad it is soon to be released.
Formerly the host of the Australian Grand Prix, in latter years it is best-known for Supercars racing – until 2020, when the local government shut down the venue. Miraculously, in 2022, following an election, the circuit reopened and will be hosting that championship’s Grand Final later in November.
As iRacing offers the ‘Gen3’ Mustang and Camaro, now they have a new track to be paired with – one with massive Turn 1 chicane kerbs and the frightening Turn 8, lined with concrete.
Mount Panorama (Bathurst) and Rockingham Speedway refresh

Neither of these is a new track, or additional paid updates – but if you own either Mount Panorama (Bathurst) or Rockingham Speedway, come December, they should be shiny and updated.
Rockingham is a complete re-scan and will sit alongside the old version, whereas Bathurst (which has a “strong chance of making S1”) has updated surroundings.
iRacing Season 1 2026 platform updates
Alongside the fresh content (above), the development team has been working on quality-of-life changes that will be added to iRacing via an update on the same day the new Season is available.
There are several, several, items here, but the highlights include:
- IndyCar hybrid system deployment
- Toyota GR86 engine, suspension and centre of gravity changes
- NASCAR Trucks new aerodynamic model
- GT3 – tweaks to the AMG, Corvette C8, Acura NSX, BMW M4 Evo and class-wide added spring-perches
- Predictive search, widget editor and up to four on-screen black boxes for the UI
- Weather forecast should have enhanced rain prediction and the strongest inclement weather levels are set to be tweaked down slightly
- Reduced lateral movements and vertical ‘popping’ of online rival cars
- ‘Borderline’ inclusion of different rubber buildup and track surface thermal flow for oval racing
As ever, even more details can be found in iRacing’s blog.
