Motorsport UK, the governing body of all four-wheel motorsport in the UK, has unveiled the Four-Nations Esports Cup for iRacing.
The competition, which started out in 2022 as a competition between British and Australian motorsport governing bodies, has expanded to include both New Zealand in 2023 and South Africa this year.
The series begins with a two-day pre-qualification period between the 19th and 20th July, with the main event consisting of two 30-minute races on the 3rd of August, with the 10 fastest hot lap qualifiers from each association creating a 40-strong grid.

Drivers will get behind the wheel of the McLaren 720 GT3 EVO with a fixed set-up around Okayama initially, with the two races taking place at Mount Panorama and Silverstone GP.
The country with the highest combined driver points across the two races will win the cup, with prizes up for grabs for the overall top performer and the best driver from each country.
Although a Motorsport UK Esports membership (£27.99 for a one-year membership) isn’t required to pre-qualify, it is required to participate in the races, with no entry fee.

“The Four-Nations Esports Cup plays on the established sporting rivalry between all four nations,” stated Paul Crawford, Head of Esports at Motorsport UK.
“With drivers set to compete from four different ASNs [Autorité Sportive Nationale] and time zones, it truly showcases the accessibility of Esports. May the best nation win,” he concluded.
