iRacing 2021 Season 3 is officially upon us, but before anyone can hit the virtual pavement or dirt, there’s a patch to sort through that fixes a couple of issues that weren’t addressed or were found in the initial release.
2021 Season 3 Patch 1 has a couple of resolved puzzles during the final week of Season 2. Late on Monday night, before the Tuesday patch release, a handful of members found a discrepancy with the NASCAR Chevrolet Silverado and the other two NASCAR truck manufacturers at the new Nashville Superspeedway. As it turns out, the Ford F150 and Toyota Tundra were incorrect, and their gearing has now been updated.
Another update came to the 1987 NASCAR Stock Cars just hours before the start of one of the largest independent community events is set to take off, hopefully it doesn’t mean too much updating for the eRacr Firecracker 400 race organizers before tonight.
Some new features were also added around the service. AI racing is now available for the new Formula Vee, and races can now take place at Langley Speedway. Looking back to the new Nashville track, night lighting is now enabled, while the other new track during the build, Red Bull Ring, was updated with some fixes found in its first week of racing.
Other than a few other fixes around the platform, 2021 Season 3 Patch 1 is relatively light following a full build. Continue to follow us at Traxion as we cover iRacing’s constant updates.
