The IMSA Esports Global Championship is back for 2025, and pre-qualifying is now open to all.

Registration is open via championship partner VCO here, while prospective participants can set their fastest lap times by way of iRacing’s official Time Attack Qualifiers. Entries must be logged with VCO before taking part in the Time Attack Qualifiers.

Teams can register multiple entries, but drivers can only register for either the GTP or GTD classes. The IMSA Esports Time Attack will begin on the 6th of October at 9 am Eastern Time and end on the 13th of October at 7:59 pm Eastern Time.

The Time Attack will take place at Sebring International Raceway, and drivers can use any of the eligible cars (listed at the bottom of this article).

If successful, drivers and teams will begin their four-round IMSA season on the 2nd of November at Road Atlanta, with one wildcard entry per race permitted. Famously, this included Max Verstappen and his Verstappen.com outfit in 2024, which competed at Daytona International Speedway.

Williams Esports, Grid n Go Esports, Drago Racing and Team Redline have automatically qualified for IMSA Esports in 2025, while the GTP and GTD winners of iRacing’s 2025 Special Events at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Road Atlanta will also receive an entry.

The GTP class will consist of 20 cars, with up to 32 cars allowed in GTD. Both classes will race together in 2-hour 40-minute events except Round 3, where the categories will race separately at Long Beach (GTP) and Virginia International Raceway (GTD) in 1-hour 15-minute races.

Cash prizes are available for the top 10 teams in both the GTP and GTD categories at the end of the season, with the first-place teams receiving $5,000 each from a total prize pool of $25,000.
