Support Traxion – shop sim racing equipment
A fourth work-in-progress location has been confirmed for American Truck Simulator: Illinois.
This is pivotal, as the region is part of the world-renowned Route 66 plus includes the most populous city of the Midwestern United States, Chicago.
It follows a brief teaser campaign that hinted at ‘the end’, referencing the completion of the 2,448-mile journey and not the end of game support.
Developer SCS Software claims that the area will have “no shortage of jobs” thanks to the busy business activities, such as acting as a national railroad hub plus the Mississippi River and O’Hare International Airport.

The exact size and scope of the DLC are to be unveiled at a later date, so too exactly how much of Chicago will be recreated.
Official images and gameplay footage release indicate expansive rural areas and agricultural businesses.

As ever, when a fresh expansion is initially unveiled, a release date is set to be confirmed at a much later date. Illinois sits alongside Missouri, Iowa and Louisiana to total four announced and work-in-progress areas for the popular haulage simulation.
