Here’s how to maximise Forza Horizon 5's Series 1 winter Festival Playlist

Winter is now here in Series 1 of Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist, and to help you along, here are some tips for the current challenges.

As ever, the challenges available are only available for one week, resetting with a new set on 2nd December 2021.

#FORZATHON Weekly Challenge, Neunelfer

This week’s #FORZATHON challenge is called ‘Neunelfer’ and it’s all about the Porsche 911. If you complete all nine chapters, you will be rewarded with 160 Forza Points, which can be used in the #FORZATHON shop.

First up, you must buy the Porsche 911 Carrera S from 2019. This is readily available from the Autoshow for 105,000 credits. Then you must simply drive it, and the second chapter will unlock, which is Speed Trap related.

In order to assist you somewhat, we have a special tune for you. Simply search for the share code of 182 557 884 and thank us later. Please.

#TWILIGHTSAGA Photo Challenge

This week’s photo challenge, entitled ‘#TWILIGHTSAGA’ is really simple. Simply photograph any car at night.

You really don’t need a guide for that, do you? Really?

Simply play the game, wait until night comes around and press up on the d-pad. Line up your shot, and hit A or RB for a Promo Quickshot. Job done, you’ve just earned yourself two points.

Festival Playlist season rewards

This week, the Festival Playlist rewards are two tasty motors. No idea why I sound like Wheeler Dealers’ Mike Brewer all of a sudden. “Hold ouuttt your aaaaand…”

Moving swiftly on, the Italdesign Zerouno ‘18, which is a tarted-up Lamborghini Huracán is 22 points, and the rarefied Subaru 22B is 42 points. Both are categorised as ‘Legendary’ and neither are for sale in the Autoshow, so get playing through the challenges and racking up those points!

In a fairly obvious fashion, points are accrued by completing playlist challenges within the month of winter – but you knew that already.

Series 1 DRY SEASON #FORZATHON shop highlights

A fresh set of items are now also in the #FORZATHON shop, purchasable with Forza Points (FP). Yup, the same FP you get by completing that challenge at the top of this article where we have a code for a tune – better get on that.

The stand-out item to use is the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 from 1970. You can’t buy this from the Autoshow with regular-old credits, so it’s here for 400 FP instead. For 600 FP, you can pick up the Hennessey Venom supercar from 2012, with its V8 and Lotus derived chassis. But, you could also purchase this for 1.2 million credits if you fancy.

There is also a car horn, item of clothing, Wheelspin and Super Wheelspin. The horn is one for fans of Doom, as it’s the E1M1 ‘At Doom’s Gate’ song from the original game. But as a horn. Yeeeeh.

  • Hennessey Venom 2012, 600 FP
  • Doom E1M1 High Car Horn, 75 FP
  • Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 1970, 400 FP
  • 1x Horizon Wheelspin, 80 FP
  • Light Blue High Tops (Feet), 75 FP
  • 1x Horizon Super Wheelspin, 300 FP

Let it snow…

For the first time in Forza Horizon 5, at the time of writing, the La Gran Caldera volcano on the map is covered in snow. We recommend you drive up there, or fast travel to save time, and check it out. Have a good drift while you’re at it, too.
