Scotland-based sim brand GT Omega has announced it’s shutting down its US store.
The temporary closure is apparently a response to ongoing tariff uncertainty between the USA and its trading partners, with the company now set to adjust the pricing of its range of cockpits, gaming chairs and other sim racing accessories in its US store.
“We’re really sorry to say that, due to the new tariffs on goods shipped to the US, we’ve had to temporarily close our store while we figure out a solution and make adjustments where needed,” stated GT Omega on its social channels.

GT Omega has stated it will fulfil existing orders and honour any warranty claims from its US-based customers in the meantime, providing a degree of assurance to its thousands of American fans.
Several other top sim racing brands have announced similar price adjustments recently, with fellow sim hardware manufacturers Fanatec and Asetek citing their concerns over the evolving tariff situation.

Fanatec also publicly stated it would revise its stance to reflect fluctuating tariffs: “If the tariff situation in the US changes, we will act accordingly. We are evaluating all options and methods to reduce the impact of these cost increases in the future”.
