GRID Legends originally launched back in February of this year and following several quality of life updates, is about to receive its first additional downloadable content.
Details are thin on the ground, but the game’s social media profiles have posted a teaser video stating a 21st June release date.
In the short clip, we see an ice cream van that’s suffered heavy damage rolling through the air alongside an equally damaged racing modified car and some barrels.
Our first thought was some sort of demolition derby mode, analogous to the figure of eight racing seen in 2019’s GRID when waiting for a lobby to start. The video is entitled ‘A smashing teaser’ after all. But, it could be something completely different, so let us know in the comments below your theories.
GRID Legends features a powerful Race Creator tool and support for multi-class racing, allowing players to mix and match vehicles, venues and weather conditions. An ice cream van would melt into this concoction with more ease than a Flake in a 99. Wahey.
The racing game from EA and Codemasters will receive one year of paid DLC support, with four expansions planned across the 12 months. These will be available separately or were bundled in as part of the Deluxe Edition. We’ll keep you updated when more information is available.
