Gran Turismo World Series confirms revised 2026 schedule

A second Japan date has been added to make sure four rounds will be held this year.

Gran Turismo World Series confirms revised 2026 schedule

Following the cancellation of the Abu Dhabi opening round last month, the Gran Turismo World Series has confirmed an updated 2026 calendar.

What was originally meant to be the second round in Milan, next month, has become the season opener. This will now be followed by a second event in Tokyo as a new ‘Round 2’ in August.

Unlike the other three events, it will not be open to the public or broadcast live. Instead, in a throwback to 2020, it will be published as a YouTube ‘premiere’. It will be recorded from Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital’s Tokyo Studio.

Gran Turismo 7’s World Series events average 8 million viewers

Singapore (3rd October) and the World Finals in Tokyo (5th-6th December) will remain in the traditional live format with ticket sales.

The ongoing conflict in Iran and neighbouring regions prompted the cessation of Abu Dhabi event plans, leaving a gap in the schedule for Gran Turismo 7’s premier competition.

The Milan season kick-off will be on 23rd May inside the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber, with tickets now available.
