Gran Turismo 7’s update 1.63 will arrive on 24th September 2025, and following a recent teaser, the detailed specification of the five new cars has been confirmed.
As suspected, there is a classic Toyota offer roader, a sporty N-flavoured Hyundai and the much-hyped Opel Vision Gran Turismo. These will sit alongside yet another Mazda MX-5 derivation, this time for the Japanese market only, and an anonymous box Toyota RAV4 SUV.
The quintet of new vehicles will be joined by matching single-player racers, plus a new set of photographic locations – however, no new Café menu or extra books, nor additional GT Sophy support this time around.
As ever, we do expect a smattering of small tweaks and a handful of new engine swap options. We will add these within the full patch notes once to the bottom of this article once they are published.
Five new cars
- Hyundai ELANTRA N ’23 – Brand Central – 500.55 pp – 36,000 credits
- MAZDA SPIRIT RACING ROADSTER 12R ’25 – Brand Central – 481.72 pp – 120,000 credits
- Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo – Brand Central – 871.44 pp – 1,000,000 credits
- Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40V ’74 – Legend Cars – 305.78 pp – 44,100 credits
- Toyota RAV4 Adventure ’20 – Brand Central – 372.01 pp – 33,000 credits
Let’s dive into these new vehicles, starting with the most important, the Toyota RAV4, naturally.
Okay, maybe this is our least-anticipated model. It’s yet another banal crossover thing, following the likes of the Honda CR-V and Nissan Qashqai in preceding updates. This is the ‘Adventure’ spec, which added extra body cladding for ‘more extreme’ off-road scenarios.

What may be of note is that the Adventure spec in the USA, at least, did not come with a hybrid powertrain. Instead, there was a petrol engine mated to an automatic gearbox, so there’s still some hope for tuning.
Anyway, onto something a bit for interesting, the FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser may not be quick. In fact, anything but. But unlike the RAV4, which is a hatchback on stilts, this off-roader is truly formidable. We expect some interesting GT Auto add-ons and community-created paint schemes to match.

For cars you may actually enjoy driving in Gran Turismo 7, the Hyundai Elantra marks the first ‘N’ line to be recreated with an internal combustion engine. Of note, this is the facelifted model, and comes with the dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Front wheel drive, turbocharged, the brand does race a version of this in TCR categories, so we expect a large wing, matching widebody and racing stickers to be available.

Then there’s the Spirit Racing 12R version of the Mazda MX-5/Miata/Roadster. This is a box-fresh 2025-spec Japan-only ‘ultimate’ version of the diminutive sports car. It has stickers, badges and extra aero elements. However, it has actually engine upgrades, such as a unique crankshaft, for 16bhp more than the standard 2-litre engine.
Under the skin, upgraded Brembo brakes, further chassis strengthening and a bespoke suspension tune complete the package.

Finally, there is the long-anticipated Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo concept – a look into the future of the supermini model. We suspect the final road car won’t be as powerful, extravagant, or feature the active aero, which here means a diffuser that extends at speed.

Five new World Circuits events
This handful of new races within the single-player World Circuits of the game mostly seem to be related to the new cars. So there’s a new VGT event to use the Opel in, a front-wheel drive event that the Elantra should fit into and a shopping car park challenge for the RAV4. Maybe we made the last one up there…
- Sunday Cup – Sardegna – Road Track – C Reverse – Maximum reward 20,000 credits
- Japanese FR Challenge 450 – Suzuka Circuit – Maximum reward 40,000 credits
- Race of Turbo Sportscars – Watkins Glen Long Course – Maximum reward 95,000 credits
- Vision Gran Turismo Trophy – Nürburgring GP – Maximum reward 100,000 credits
- World Touring Car 700 – Alsace – Village – Maximum reward 250,000 credits
