- The Power Pack will be a paid DLC set of ‘hardcore’ single-player events for Gran Turismo 7
- Releasing 4th December 2025 alongside the free Spec III update
- Pricing to be confirmed for 50 extra challenges
- Uses an upgraded GT Sophy 3.0 AI agent, which means DLC will be PS5-only
Gran Turismo 7 will receive its first paid downloadable content set and its first 24-hour race with the Power Pack.
This additional ship icon on the main menu map will include a series of challenges outside of the main missions, licence tests, Cafe Menu and World Circuits areas.
50 challenges will be included in the purchase, alongside 5,000,000 in-game credits to spend as you choose, significantly adding to the single-player offering.

These will include races set in a variety of different themed categories, 20 in total, with ‘full’ race weekends possible – practice, qualifying and then the race.
Some of the example themes spotted so far include classic touring cars and the All Japan GT Championship – presumably the grids will be filled with similar, championship-matching vehicles, like some of the prior Daily Race and Weekly Challenge events.

Improved GT Sophy 3.0
However, Gran Turismo 7’s single-player opponents are not usually the brightest or the closest competitors. That’s why, for the first time, the GT Sophy AI agent – which has so far only been used for single events – will be used throughout events that count towards game progression.
It will be an upgraded Sophy too, now up to ‘3.0’ – the advanced AI claims to replicate likelike racecraft, which the previous two iterations were certainly capable of, if a little too easy.
The inclusion of the smart AI means the DLC will be for PlayStation 5 players only, as the PS4 version of GT7 cannot run GT Sophy.

Progression through the events seems to rely not only on finishing position, but also claiming ‘stars’, which can unlock prizes.
“The Power Pack is real racing and includes races such as a 24-hour race”, stated Series Producer Kazunori Yamauchi during Sony’s State of Play Japan presentation.
“We wanted to bring this realistic and hardcore racing to Gran Turismo at least once, so we created this Power Pack, which will be released for sale along with Spec III at the end of the year.”

Gran Turismo 7 Power Pack DLC release date
Pricing has not yet been announced. However, a release date has: 4th December 2025, which also indicates the aforementioned Spec II free update will arrive at the same time.
This will include two new tracks, eight new cars – two of which are still secret – and several feature and progression changes for Gran Turismo 7.
